Project Description

Brief
Rebranding Sagar Arts, a seventy year old film and television company started by Late Dr. Ramanand Sagar. The objective of this exercise was to retain the traditional roots of the Sagar legacy and to establish a group company brand that would act as a mother brand to their numerous initiatives.

Concept
The starting point of this exercise was to understand the history of Sagar films and their future aspirations in order to create an effective group company brand. We took into consideration their entire existing brand architecture and all the possible additions in future.

The inspiration came from the word “Sagar” which means ocean. Best way to show the ocean was through the play of multiple shades of blue with a wash of water. Exploring the various patterns and movements of the water colour set a perfect backdrop to the logo type.
